Frequently Asked Questions

  • JSU PC is for mature, committed teens who are in a current leadership position in JSU.

JSU PC is a high level, professional conference and we want to ensure that every participant will gain from and be an asset to the group!

  • Pre-registered teens will have the opportunity to register first. We will email those on our pre-registration list a week ahead of opening general registration.

  • Pre-registering gives you early access to registration, but registering does not guarantee your spot. After registering, you need to be accepted by JSU staff who ensure you meet all the criteria for acceptance.

  • You may be invited to join us for a second year. That said, as spots are limited, and first preference goes to teens who have not yet come to the conference.

  • This program is tailored to JSU leaders in how to lead and build your own clubs as well as how you can get involved in the broader JSU community. The program consists of a combination of workshops and interactive learning experiences, working toward practical takeaways you can use in your day-to-day as a JSU leader.

  • We are excited that we have our Student Executive Board, directed by Deeni Hass, who are heavily involved in planning and running many aspects of our program.

There will be many opportunities for opt-in sessions, opportunities to present to the group, program design and planning and informal discussion groups where our JSU leaders will be taking the lead.

  • Yes. We are running a professional conference and request that participants dress accordingly (business casual).

  • We would love to hear from you!  You can email Deeni Hass hassd@ncsy.org with any general questions and your local JSU staff for more information.
